I love weddings!

What a beautiful wedding I played in Rolling Meadows on Friday! I would like to thank Mona Morrison for this lovely picture that she snapped of me and to also thank the mother of the bride, Gerry Bartnicke for her kind words to the booking agent, April Berkowski of Elegant Ensembles:

“Hi – Just to let you know what you already knew that Jennifer Silk was wonderful at my daughter’s wedding. The ceremony music was perfect and Jennifer even handled a glitch that had our guests crowded in a hall because the staff would not open the reception room which was also our cocktail hour room. Jennifer played her violin…until we could get the doors open. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. It was a wonderful wedding.”

Dear Carlyn,
It went wonderfully; people wanted to talk to her at length following her 1 hour performance. She did sing a longs, requests, shared info about her past and present and was all out great. I told her the flowers were me to her because we both have birthdays in May and for helping us put a spin on our last meeting. She performed for us a year ago May and a couple of her family members were with her so I’ll always remember her birth month. That night we were at Sawa’s Restaurant.

Again, thanks for providing Jennifer; a real trooper and an absolute delight.

Peace, Elaine Abbinante
